About Us | Psychology & Counseling Services | Joplin MO

Are you looking to work with a Counselor you can trust?

Dr. John Dages, PhD, LP, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of all mental health problems. He has specific fellowship training in the treatment of eating disorders and crisis intervention, and most recently directed Bariatric Psychological Evaluations for Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.

Additionally, Dr. Dages has been affiliated with The George Washington University, The Johns Hopkins University, Washington University – St. Louis, and internationally in Australia. Throughout his career he has been very committed to compassionately treating individuals suffering from counseling and mental health needs. Most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted.

Amazing and brilliant psychologist; east coast and Midwestern trained, PhD. Plus, he just connects with people immediately. First visit is impressive – he offers me coffee or water, standing behind a wall of degrees from the University of Notre Dame and many others. He’s a humble man who obviously knows what he doing. Dr. Dages got my daughter through bariatric surgery; then came back to speak at an evening support group. Highly recommend!
